As long as you enough enough room to get a good few rotations out of the lugs you should be fine
The rears have plenty of threads, they go all the way through the lug nut. The fronts are flush with the end of the lugnut meaning the threads go all the way through. I'd have to say that's plenty.
I'd love to get a set of my wheels widened so instead of 17x8 and 17x9 I'd have 17x9 and 17x9.5. Might be better off just selling them and getting something different. Idk, I love the look of the Walds.
I ran 15's on extended lugs on the B5. I didn't have any problems, I'm pretty sure like Sean was saying, the rule of thumb is 3 full turns on the lug and you're good.

Sounds like I'm in good shape then. Plan is to order some more spacers at the end of the week then. I'll probably end up raising the rear a smidgen so the wheel lips stop hitting the quarters on big bumps. lol. I really need stiffer rear springs but I think I've decided to just leave this car as is and start saving for my next project.

Preload the springs? I've preloaded mine. I'm also saving for Broadways for next season.

Since the springs are linear when they compress I'm not sure how much that would help but I suppose its worth a shot.
I thought about rebuilding my suspension over the winter but like I said I'm ready for a different car so I think I'm going to hold off. Not to mention I really need to do the timing belt, clutch, and motor mounts sometime soon. Thank god I have the tools and I can do the work myself. lol
