I think I figured out why my pictures always come out like shit. On auto, my camera lens stays open for too fucking long and all my pictures get washed out by sun. Need to fix that.

Yeah. But you know what I meant. I didn't know the term, but I knew that the shutter is staying open for too long on auto. Need to just start shooting in Av. What does Av stand for?

Aperture Priority, it allows you to set the aperture you want and it sets the shutter speed, that and Tv mode will teach you how the settings of the camera really work.
