I've realized something in my old age. Everyone other than me is a fucking hack.
I refuse to buy someones project. Fuck that. And now you have money, so buy something that you can make awesome. Not someone else's project.

No matter what, work will have to be done. For me, a stock, high mileage KA at a reasonable price would be okay. A 1 or 2jz would be ordered shortly after and all of what the previous owner did would be removed and redone by me anyway. I don't need the car to be perfect when I buy it. Actually, I want the opposite.

Because the idea is to build the 1 or 2 up a little. I need a car asap though so my wife has a vehicle for work.

No. I don't think you understand how this works. This is a temporary daily. This is just to get me by. But whatever I buy, I want to keep. I'm buying a grocery getter by the end of the year. Just need to pay more of the Audi off. This vehicle is literally just getting me to and from work. If I need to take it down to do something, I can just drive the Audi. The Audi is still the "daily".

No because at that point I will still have the Audi. My wife will only be working 1 night a week when I'm not.
