Its a 10 plus hour job for sure but it's not any worse than doing the rod bearings on a e46m that hasnt had the recall time wise. would be 3k to do at a shop though.

Its much more than 10 hours lol, I believe they charge 24 for it. Which means the average do it yourselfer will be without a car for quite some time or simply won't be able to do it.

24 hours sounds right. figure hourly rate is what $110? so thats like $2600ish in labor plus parts and shit would be about $3000
