The problem is your media.
They publicize these shootings so much, showing photos of the killer, his name, etc.
The killer pretty much becomes infamous and people remember him.
So other suicidal people see this and think, why off my self in my own home and die a nobody that no-one will remember, when I can be someone that everyone will remember years on.

If the media didn't show the killer on every channel and didn't publicize the name, then these killers would not be remembered, so there would not be a temptation for other would-be murder suicides.
