I would do the prep buy the paint and take it to a reputable shop, usually just to spray it is pretty cheap, or just do what Dave said. Most DIY jobs are tons better than MAACO

I'm not trying to break any rules nor make enemies just thought I'd share random posts. If you guys wanted no new people in the thread then you should say so or post some requirements.

A lot of RT involves not giving a fuck, and also being able to both give it and take it (in the least sexual sense possible).

Shit-slinging is how RT goes about its daily activities. You can't walk into a knife fight and not expect knives to come flying at you. Eventually you'll offend a few people and they'll welcome you as one of their own. It's weird in its own backward way, but it works.

The MAACO near me apparently isn't that bad. I guess I could buy the paint as well. And I've never done prep for paint, I have no idea what that entails.
