What do you say to police when pulled over?

So I was driving home tonight when I was pulled over by the police, their reason for pulling me over was due to my arch gap. He proceeded to barely but managing to slide his finger from one end of the wheel to the other showing my lack of gap. They went on saying that if I hit a pothole my tyre would rub off my arch, even after I explained that it isn't possible due to the nature of my cars suspension. I stated to them that there is no law (in the UK) that stated the arch gap needed for road use. Anyway rant over and wanted to know what you say when pulled over due to stance, wheel figment etc.

I always am honest and dont bother trying to lie. also try to tell some jokes or lighten the mood and get the cop to laugh. you got pulled over, youre getting a ticket almost every time. might as well make the police report look good on your part so you can get the amount cut down in court

as far as being low and stuff. safety is up to the discretion of the officer. and I know at least in my state, that your headlights have to be a certain height from the ground to be legal.

Damn, here in CA they don't care much unless you're a criminal or at least look like one. They profile. I've never been stopped for my car mods. I always get pulled over for speeding which is always my fault.

haven't had a policeman/woman pull me up in about 4 years...

I've been a good boy... the car hasn't, but I have... copped a few greezies from them, that's about it...

I'd usually start by making myself look the least minority I can by using a thick aussie accent: "scarnon!, what can I do ya for cobber" "strooth I can't have been going that quick" "going to call the sheila tell her I've been pulled over" (Australian members would understand). Then they would look at me and decide this guy has had enough punishment... his ascetically challenged and sounds like he has learning difficulties...
