You should listen to Kielan, he has walked the road you have, albeit with a more open mind and taste, but you should still listen to him.
Then again you havent listened to much.

Holy balls this thread is a shit show.
OP, you need to very carefully think this whole thing over. A few things about an E9x 325i.
1. They're great, pretty reliable cars, they share a motor with a bunch of other BMWs so parts are easily available, and not extremely expensive.
2. They're not outrageously expensive to insure, but you'll probably see your insurance rates go up a bit. If you don't pay them, and your parents are cool with it then, by all means.
3. They're not that fun to drive, sure they're a BMW, and "the ultimate driving machine", but they're quite underpowered, and really don't offer much feel to the driver, when I drove my friends, I was really quite unimpressed, even in comparison to my 01 325i.
4. There are lots of other costs associated with BMWs that you may not think of. Tires, and gen maintenance parts are more expensive. Not a ton, but you will notice it after a few things go wrong and need to be tended to. I know I did coming from my Integra. Oil changes are much more expensive, and they can be finicky at times. That's just the nature of a BMW however.
I'm not saying don't get one, if you want one, go get it, by all means. Have fun, and enjoy the car. Modify what you want how you please, and remember at the end of the day that it's your own car not anyone else's. However if you post on a forum asking for opinions, you are going to get just that, opinions. Not everyone has the same one as you, and thusly you will have to accept that. Remember though, as long as YOU are happy, nothing else matters. Don't get upset at others though when you ask advice of them, and it's not what you want to do. If you already know what you want to do, just go ahead and do it, if you really are genuinely curious then ask the question.
I didn't come here to start anything, just impart a few words of wisdom that I have learned over my time here, and over my 2.5 years of owning BMWs.
Good luck with whatever you chose to do, and have fun.
Kielan, out.

You have got to be either the biggest troll on Stance|Works, or so oblivious it hurts.
You say this:
But insist that you want to keep doing things to it:Originally posted by Celli View PostHere's the big thing, I don't want the celica anymore. The car is honestly a waste of time and isn't really worth the time/money/effort.
First, It's not what the "internet wants me to build", I thoroughly enjoy the looks/drive/comfort of the bmw I like. And I'll be selling the xxr's and going stock anyways.
You ask us to point out what's wrong:Originally posted by Celli View PostThanks for the insight guys. I think I'm still going to do some paint touch up and shave the Wing off. From personal experience, people prefer it without a wing.
So while repainting the trunk, should I put the symbols BACK on? Or leve them off? Or does it matter?
So we do, and you say shit like this, and completely disregard our advice:Originally posted by Celli View PostYou know? If you see any flaws with that, please point them out.
And say you want to do things the right wayOriginally posted by Celli View PostI like em. Im keeping em.
chill. I like my halo/projector. and my lights ARE halogen. They just have a ccfl halo surrounding them.
And then you say this:Originally posted by Celli View PostYou have a good point but Oxer does have you there. I've half assed everything. But I want to change that. Take my time. Do things right. Stop rushing.
That's one of things I've been thinking about. I want to start over. New car. New project. And doing it right this time. I want to take the time to do a project right. No more half ass china shit. Please atleast try to understand I'm trying to improve. As I've seen, you can pick up a shitty dull set of BBS rims for 700. But with a little TLC, they can look brand new.
Also, I'd like to start on a car actually worth modding.
I don't evenOriginally posted by Celli View Postfirst, how are the headlights ebay junk? they are spyder auto. Im pretty sure they are a reputable company.

Guest repliedlol what? you"re so short tempered. Theres no need to "quit" or whatever you're doing. If you post a long ass post, its quite likely that I will not understand atleast one thing. Also keep in mind that this thread isn't a build or me trying to impress people or whatever. Its me seeking guidence from the elders of the game.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostObviously you still don't get it.
Good luck. You're going to need it.
oh and just a quick sidenote: the guy doing the LS1 drift build is using a ksport setup. Even though I have the street and he has the track, its still ksport. Still high qualityLast edited by Guest; 05-14-2013, 01:03 PM.

Guest repliedfirst, how are the headlights ebay junk? they are spyder auto. Im pretty sure they are a reputable company. but anyways, my old headlights are cracked and oxidized from the inside so im not effing with them. I was planning on doing exactly that with the wheels.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostPut all the stock parts back on the car
Try to peddle the eBay junk (headlights) off to teenagers on craigslist.
Dump your wheels for $400 to someone who has a 5x100 car.
Remove all the striping/plastidip/tinted tails.
Leave the spoiler on it.
Find a set of halfway decent wheels, lower your car the right way, and enjoy it. Your car with a moderate drop and a set of nice 17" wheels would look damn good.
tinted tails are already gone. as soon as the mods open my build back up, ill post my new stuff. striping will also be coming off. And the spoiler is still coming off. especially if i keep the car.
and how is my car lowered the wrong way? its not like i bought 350 rokkors. I bought a thousand dollar street setup. My only issues are the spring rate in the rear and the height of the spring up front.
im not a big fan of nicos bagged celica. I like his 03 black one betterOriginally posted by MommysLittleMonster View Post

I guess thats a good point about the job. And I love the celli. I just **** that its fwd and virtually pointless to modOriginally posted by NorCalFocus View PostI think you should work on redoing the Toyota, before jumping into a BMW. Your pay is if you get a full time job, so what if you get it and get laid off a year later? Then you lose your BMW too.
You can make the Celli a car that you'll like. Don't let others influence what car you get.
because I want to sell the celica? would you suggest i wait until the week i sell it to get opinions on aftermarket parts?Originally posted by Xtra Big Kahuna View PostIf this isn't happening right now then why the hell are you asking about it? Why not keep with the Celica until you actually have money to buy a new car and not worry about how you are going to sell it?
