Listen (or read) if you wish, I assume you are a young man in his late teens or may be even 20?
Anyone can have a job if they want it bad enough, I'm not that much older than you, I'm not quite old enough to be your father, although it's possible but unlikely, but please do not assume you are the hot shot, the earlier you realize that the easier life will be for you, I see tons of young folks come and go that works for us, and I do the hiring, you know the saying "good helps are hard to come by?", by good helps we mean ones that are humble and willing to learn, if you are 18, even if you work at a bodyshop since you are 12, you only have 6 years of experience, I've got kids older than that.
Most likely some 30 year olds who's got a mouth or two to feed are willing to work super hard just so he can feed, he won't come in and pretend he knows it all as he just want to keep the job and pay the bills, that's why not many people want to hire 18 year olds.
If you want a job, learn to type in proper grammar, learn to speak in intelligent manner, and pretend you know nothing about anything, shut up and learn, if someone ask you to do something, do it, don't sit there and complaint think you deserve a $20/hr job by thinking you are a big shot, when I was in college, me and buddy of mine were painting houses on the side, he was majoring in quantum physics and he designs nuclear reactors now, we wanted the money bad, and we needed to eat, so we shut up and knock on every door asking if they wanted their houses to be painted, we got yelled at, we got spat at, but we made it through, I also worked at night on weekends at clubs cleaning up and what not.
There are always people who won't like what you are doing with your hobby, but if it makes you life grow in a positive way, then continue to do so, but you must do it for yourself, not any others, I wanted to slam my Volvo so bad back around 99, and others were laughing at me saying why, I told them I just like it and kept going at it, at the end, you have no one to satisfy other than yourself.
So cliff note: there's a job for you, you just got to look for it, shut up and listen that's the only way you can learn, and if you like Cavaliers/Sunfires, keep going at it, it's your hobby, not anyone else's.

Ive applied everywhere I can the past few weeks and gone to talk to most of the people in person I guess I just need to wait now. As far as working in a bodyshop I dont care what Im doing as long as I can get into the business, I know most places start you out sweeping and cleaning just to see if youre going to work which is fine with me my uncle has me doing the same thing daily in his shop when Im working on my car. Im not trying to sound cocky saying that I have more experience than people older than me and I am willing to act like I know nothing and learn as you said.
I cant say that I like cavaliers but what I like about stancing one would be the uniqueness unlike with a BMW which on here thats the majority of what I see. I also know that I could get something else just as unique to work on that has less of stereotypical background surronding it. I guess that I dont really look at cars as being better than another car like some people on here do, I love my classic and my cavalier. I do know that some cars are going to be better than others though because "you get what you pay for".
Also, I thought you just got stick with a Cavalier. You didn't mention you willingly PAID 3,000 for it. And here I was feeling bad for your situation. The shit you can build for less than 3k...
I didnt exactly pay 3k for the car, the truck I wrecked was in my parents name since I was 17 at the time. My parents took some of the money to make a down payment on a new truck. I worked for my grandpa on his farm doing whatever he had me to do for no pay as "punishment" for wrecking the truck at the end of the summer we went around and looked at cars (Everything from beater 70s ford pickups that had a perfect engine but looked like shit to an EK hatchback that burned a ton of oil) he agreed to give me like 1200 and my parents were willing to give me some money. I had about 1000 saved from working for other family members. I almost bought a v6 04 mustang 5 speed but at the last minute my parents decided they wouldnt help me if i went with it (it was 3250) so I got forced into the cavalier because insurance rates on hondas are higher and I dont know on the mustang but Im glad I didnt get it because I personally **** on V6 mustangs. My cavalier burns no oil has new brakes and tires and has no problems at all that I know of other than being a cavalier so for a DD its alright I guess.
Nobody can say Jbodys(Cavaliers,Sunbirds and sunfires) are shit and civics are better. They are all in the same class. Same price range.
Just because something is in the same price range doesn't make the quality the same. "Jbodys" are junk, built like crap with crappy interiors and inferior motors. A Honda civic is just better. There is a reason we have car reviews that review cars from the same class and pick a winner.
I don't mind them if they're nicely modified. I don't mind any car as long as it looks visually appealing. It's just the stereotype of trashy people that don't care about their cars that ruin them and their look.
If I had the means to do what you have I may be less on the fence about it.
If you don't have the mean, then don't do it, difference between hobby and an addiction is addiction gets you into financial trouble, a hobby should help you deal with whatever up and down life may bring.

Did you applied for apprenticeship or a job? a job requires them to pay you and train you, its a risk not many small business want to take, if you want to learn, go apply as an apprentice, that means you work for free but that also means 99% you will have something line up for you, the biggest misconception about apprentice is that you don't make any money, instead you should think of it as free schooling, real life situations are some things can't be taught in school.
As far as "stancing" or whatever you want to call it, you put too much thoughts into a debate with no opponents.

my sister flipped her '04 white cav a few years ago. I wasn't disappointed (she was miraculously fine)
Off topic, but who gives a shit.
My 89 year old grandfather flipped his car last month. He fucking drove it to the body shop and walked home. What the fuck, am I the offspring of a terminator?
It was an old Subaru though. He'd likely have killed himself a long time ago if he was driving a Cavalier, just out of embarrassment.
I'd rather see a stanced or modded Cavalier than the endless number of cookie cutter stanced BMWs, Civics, and drift 240s. But what do I know, I own a Mustang, which is only a few notches down the list from the Cavalier.
Oh and to keep with the flow of the thread, rabblerabble imports > domestic rabblerabble rabble Cavaliers suck.
