This is going to be your daily with potential for track days, right? Replacing the E46?

Then I'd say choose the E36, even though I may be a bit biased.

The S2000 looks cool as hell and maybe even performs great on the track - but that's all it does. With the E36 you can go to the track and on the way back home pick up 4 bitches.
No seriously, for daily purposes I couldn't live without some space in the car to put stuff in. It is a thousand times for more practical than the S2000.

And I'm sure we can work out some kind of deal where I ship you an Euro M3 engine for loads of moneyz.

I love s2000s. But it has to be a personal choice, we can't really answer this for you.

      Way different cars.

Depends if you have something else to use with a bit more space in addition to the S2000. Try to drive both.

        Verts are awesome.

this is a difficult choice. more difficult if the prices were the same. for the money an AP2 costs, vs. an E36 M3. get the M3 and an NA miata.

i'd rather have an M coupe though. hell, even an S52 M roadster has gotten my attention lately. same as an S2000, but its got moar torque.

Canon, Fuji, Mamiya, Minolta + Pentax.

Ride with Geoff again. The answer will be clear.

I've never met an unsatisfied s2k owner.
i found my self in the same predicament with the s2k and 350z.
i went with the z and couldnt be happier.
same car in spirit without the conv. and somewhat solves the torque issue.

Both are sick, but my personal opinion i'd get an s2k for sure.

I would go with e36 peronally

but i'm gonna have to agree with Dane on this one an Mcoupe is one of my ALL TIME favorite cars, and you dont see them as much as e36 M3's and S2K's
