tis why i invested in a plate, so that if something really happens without notice- i will be protected.

just gotta be alert and watch the road and other around you. i slow down a lot on side streets

I have a skidplate, so just say fuck it and go for it. I've driven in Baltimore city multiple times with 1" of clearance.

Yeah, I do. Why not? Just deal with stuff as it pops up.

I'll be starting on a road trip to the UK from Germany, crossing through Belgium and France, and back in just a bit more than a week, going with my slammed E36 Touring with just roughly 1.2 inch clearance.

Skid plates just reduce your clearance, buy a steel oil pan instead.

I drive my car all over the place slammed.

Does it suck? Sometimes. Has anything bad ever happened? Not yet, knock on wood.

Is that how low your car is in your sig? If so you should be fine.

My old car had less than an inch of clearance and I did okay, of course you're going to break shit and the drive might be stressful, but it's not like you can't avoid certain things.

The worst is driving on the highway, even at 65mph in the right lane you only have a couple seconds to react.

If stock cars came out of the factory with 2 inches of ground clearance, I bet a lot of people would pay more attention to what they're doing while driving!

I did once which then resulted in a horribly cracked oil pan.

Sits a TAD higher than this at the moment. Pardon the dirty wheels, just slammed it this afternoon.

yeap, did waterfest this year, usually when i leave the state i crack engine mount brackets, wheels, etc, but this year i was safe from all that.
