  • Do you guys drive your slammed cars to places you've never been?

Wondering how you guys handle the low life. I just recently slammed my E92 (although not nearly as low as some of you), and I haven't driven it outside of my city yet. I know where all the pot holes, dips, and speed bumps are here in Orlando, but I'm a bit worried about driving in other towns. I want to go down to Tampa (1 hour drive), with myself +3 passengers. Not sure how well that would go!

Very interested to know, what do you guys do?

I do all the time. I just take it slow......and make the passengers take a separate car........and pull my sub woofer out.....
      its not bad.

All the time. Usually stay in the slow lane and keep an eye out for unsuspecting bumps/potholes. It also helps to watch the cars suspension in front of you to try and get an idea of what you'll be encountering within the next second.

I never thought about it like that, it is kind of fun haha. It's like the iPhone game Temple Run, where you have to avoid running over tree branches / broken floors or you die haha.

One of my friends doesn't have a car, the second has his motor pulled at the moment, and the third doesn't want to drive lol. I also have 2 subwoofers in a nice heavy wooden box, doesn't help either lmao.

I do watch people's suspension ahead of me, always helps!

I prefer not to at night or when it's raining hard but sometimes you gotta do it

All the time, not as low as many of these guys but I drove cross country a month ago lowered with all my tools an engine block, clothing and food. I do keep a 2x4 in my trunk now after I got stuck. Also if the place I am going to others have been I ask if my car can make it in there.

I drove from CA to PA and back like this:

215/45/17s helped but it wasn't perfect.

Basically just do what was posted above and you'll be fine.

I like night driving because the head/foglights reveal the evenness of the road.

My MK4 is bagged so it's not so bad but I usually do look at the car in front of me / generally pay attention to shit on the road. My Benz is static and much lower than the VW so I try to only take routes I know are safe.

It's hard sometimes because most people don't understand what driving a low car is like. Other drivers are impatient (at least where I live) and people get pissed off if you swerve around something or slow down to avoid fucking up your car. Gotta make sacrifices to look cool I guess

It's funny how much more you have to concentrate on driving with a low vehicle. And then cops are telling that you are a hazard to others. Oh come on.

What's really funny is how things become a natural reaction. For example if I am driving with somebody in a normal stock vehicle and I cringe at a certain feature on the road. In my own car it would be death but when you go over it in a normal car it's like nothing at all.

Guilty. I have to drive on either side of a lane because if there's any crown at all, I scrape. People honk at me all the time because they think I'm coming into they're lane. Assholes.
