I've worked in the gym business mainly, and every one I work with has either a lifted diesel truck or a Mustang. Most people didn't say anything when they saw my Lexus out front

My last job I was the accounting intern at a local firm lol. Clients would come in and always ask about my cars. Theyd always get a laugh since theyre not the usual cars youd expect someone in the accounting department to have

and you guys know my m3 and how obnoxious it is

Lately when I drive the infiniti, I get a lot of "oh must be nice. young guy driving an expensive car and scraping the ground with it" My reply is always "I paid 3k for that thing. relax" Before that I worked at a law firm for a summer. id deliver paperwork and shit and roll up in a slammed yellow bmw hahah

I work at an Aerospace & Defense contractor. Theres alot of nice cars, but I drive the biggest truck (F350 Powerstroke), and lowest car (Mustang). I get comments on both and alot of comments on how low the car is. Theres a good showing of BMW's, and Domestic muscle (Challengers, Corvettes, Mustangs) that are mostly stock..

I was a student teacher at the high school I went to, and now I sub there now.

I scraped every day on the way into the faculty parking lot driving this.

            straight pipe tdi

If anything I was able to connect with the students who are into cars automatically. Typically the students who are really into cars would rather be wrenching than sitting in class, so having a rapport with these gear heads works in my favor. The school has always had plenty of students that care about there cars. Always a strong American truck and muscle scene, as well as a fairly decent euro scene.

I've always kept this rule of thumb- if you're concerned with how your customers perceive you based on your car, think of how your parents would react. If they would look at you with a puzzled look and go "why?", then you're probably going to get the same reaction from other people.

That said, I get compliments on my car all the time where I work- but I work largely with engineers and guys that still like cars a lot. I get funny faces when I pull in and scrape the sidewalk and three-wheel into the upper lot, but most people dig it. There are also comments like, "doesn't your tire hit your fender a lot when your that low?"

My parents have said why since day one. haha, though around here cops see low and think ghetto mexican gang member as most of them driver beat up as hondas that scream ricer.

I parked next to my boss a few days ago... he drives a stock E39 5-Series on 17" Style 5s. Since then, he occassionally comes over to talk BMW stuff.

Also, we have a parking lot 'security'. They just watch out that you don't park in reserved spots and that you don't park like an ass over two or thee spots. They dislike my car. :

Just this morning, I had to take the other entry to the lot since my usual one was blocked off. On this side there's a few really high speedbumps. I was all "challenge accepted" and dragged the whole undercarriage over them... parking lot attendant saw me and promplty screamed at me:

"STOP IT!!! You're destroying the parking lot!!! :"

I work in sales at a local music store
My boss and co workers occasionally ask why I like my car sitting low.
They're not against it, but they still don't under stand why it's a style.
I've been teaching my boss certain car terms here and there, so sometimes I go in to work and I hear "hey tony, I like you car's 'stance'"

But I don't often get comments from customers while I'm there. I get more comments when I'm on campus.

"hey dude! I love your classic bimmer"

                  "thanks!"

"You should put 22s on there"
