From the front at the bottom?

Maybe its a bottom end knock? perhaps the bearings have been spun?

Did you check the coolant? Maybe the water pump has run dry.

lol... A ticking from a pulley and a tap from the top end being starved of oil are two different sounds. If the head is tapping due to no oil you can instantly recognise it since the noise will be coming from the rocker cover and not the front of the engine.

after i filled it back up i double checked everything and ALL fluids... i fired it up and the tick was gone thank god..

so now i guess when i get i chance i need to pull the valve cover and make sure there are no scorch marks or bad wear on the lobes..
