Is this "car that changed the world" or "car i really like and I would like to justify a reason to why I think its sooooo significant" ? Most of these posts seem to be biased towards cool cars and not significant cars.
                  Here's my opinion...and that's all it is

                  1) Model T .... obvious... refined the assembly line thus making automobiles affordable to american. (Oldsmobile invented the assembly line in 1902)
                  2) VW Beetle .... made automobiles affordable to most of Europe. Also became the standard for compact cars by being the first. Before Civics , 510 or Fiat 500s.
3)Prius...as much as i dislike the thing it was the first good selling hybrid and caused the hybrid movement. Previous Hybrids were very low productions or complete flops.
4)1941 Jeep.... the firs off road vehicle. This is the predecessor to all Cherokees , Explorers , Hummers etc... not to mention how much it influenced WW2
                  5) 53 Chevy 150 ....(at least in the US) this is the car that changed the American automobile industry. At first it was just utilitarian and basic , used as police cars , wagons , ambulances and economy everyday cars. In '55 they got the famous small block chevy engine that I believe slowly sparked the Americal auto industry to look at style and performance.
6)1966 Corolla....imported into the US in 68 was the first high selling Japanese car in the US.....the other Japanese manufacturers joined in the bandwagon soon after.
                  7) 1886 Benz Motorwagen.... the first car (if you can call it a car) to influence a automobile industry.
8)1950 VW Type 2 (Bus) ..the forerunner to all van/minivans you see on the road today...although i think the 1983 Chrysler deserves a bit of credit too.
                  1969 Karmann Ghia
                  1985 E24 635CSi
                  1996 Mitsubishi Pajero SR

                    This

because essetially no other car after it changed the world more

Model A and T fords had a big influence aswell As the Peoples Wagon (VW Beetle for the uneducated) but only because they made cars more affordable for everyone
