Really? Are you certain? Because all of the guys on RocDubs would beg to differ.

And, if I'm not mistaken, if they're recalled, it's because there was something wrong with them in the first place, like I was trying to infer?

No reason to buy when he can go to the dealer and get the recalled ones for free.

who cares? control arm, camshaft adjuster gasket, rear coolant flange, pcv system. you will still be driving one of the most well thought out and classically beautiful sedans of the past 20 years. get one, enjoy driving it and when shit breaks, pick up some tools. nbd.
i am too old for this shit.

I daily my 99 a4(it's a 2.8 30v tho) and its been great to me, no funky issues or electrical problems. I bought it with 120,000 on it and now it's about to kick over 145,000 and all I've done is basic maintenance and an ac compressor haha......and the ignition coil(3 times now
Or about once a year) but other than that it's been great.

I've got a b5 tdi, most reliable car I've ever had aside from my audi 80 tdi. Not too sure about the petrol engines though, nobody buys them here and they are worth little or nothing.

better save forever. If you want to get into the 2.7tt, I suggest getting a newer a6, 03+ 2.7s are much more reliable.
