  • Trailer and Towing Thread

Not trying to sell a product, but since I work as a trailer salesman/truck parts salesman I figured I'd offer up my knowledge to you guys and give you a place to show off your tow rigs/trailers. I know many of you daily your cars or simply drive them to shows and meets but there are just some cars that shouldn't/can't be driven hundreds of miles to a show. Interested to see some setups!

I don't have any pics but I helped design/build 2 trailers for my old job. I worked for a pizzeria that did catering for the pro motocross circuit.

First trailer was a 30' ATC aluminum trailer. Beefed up floors, insulated walls, the whole 9 yards. Had an 8'x8' walk in cooler, sinks, 2 stone pizza ovens, smaller oven, dough mixer, cooler to make the pizzas on etc. We made pizza from scratch to sell to the fans. If I remember right the trailer weighed just a tick over 14k and was pulled with an 08 2500 Duramax with a beefed up rear suspension.

Second trailer was a 38' ATC gooseneck aluminum trailer. Basically a kitchen on wheels. 8x10 walk in cooler, 2 ovens, 6 burner stove, grill, prep tables, sinks, sleeping quarters above the gooseneck with ac, tv, etc. That one weighed 15k and was pulled with a '10 Ford F-450 King Ranch.

    The Kia has been parted.

Very cool. I sell ATC trailers actually and have sold some real unique stuff from them. They make some of the most custom stuff out there. I'd be more interested in the F-450 King Ranch though haha

It is a hell of a truck. I spent a decent amount of time behind the wheel of that truck.
Like I said it was a 2010 F-450 King ranch, dualie, long box, crew cab. king ranch leather, navigation, the whole 9 yards. A true cowboy cadiallac. It was a leftover so my boss got a pretty good deal on it. I think he paid around 54k for it. I washed and waxed that truck about 10 times and it was literally an all day project.

It basically looked like this, same color and everything:

I spent most of the summer building this, when completed it toured Denmark with a very popular radio show on Dansih national radio... turned out ok;-)

allready had the caravan! Everything that went in it was sponsored about 20.000$ worth of freebies and 10.000$ of free work from all sorts of carpenters, painters and such

I do trailers like this quite often. They are their own animal. VERY intricate.

Look quite snug on there. Its one thing if your car is being trailered because you choose to, but its sucks when its being trailered because its busted. How'd you booger it up?
