Well today I get to start looking for a new car to work on. My S60 took a turn for the worse. The timming belt broke and locked up the motor. Valves bent on head and so on. so hopfully I can find something easy to lower without costing both of my testicles.

Hondas may last forever, but you can also pick up many cheap alternatives that run equally as long and would help set you apart from the crowd. You could check out e30s for one thing, despite the BMW badge they're dirt cheap to own with basic maintenance, and they've got a huge following with tons of information on how to get low enough to destroy your oil pan

haha ok, wasn't sure. I see that advice given to people all the time, and I cant help but shake my head. My e30 has over 240k miles and still pulls like a champ. Great little cars!

BTW, have you honestly got over 20k posts in a little over a year?

How much stuff been changed on your E30 in that 240k miles?
Properly cared for Honda will do 240k + some and the only things you will have to warry about is brake pads, oil, and tires.
Dont try to compare POS E30 to mid/late 90's Honda when it comes to reliability! If person is an ideot he can kill anything, be it brand new honda or brand new BMW, but if one would take equal care of both cars (BMW & Honda). Honda will last waaaaaaaaaay longer than bmw.

I have to disagree. + living in a country were rust is a HUGE problem, all of the Hondas rust way WAY faster then the BMWs

A well kept and washed car doesn't just rust away. Out here rust is a problem (salt on the winter roads), Hondas maybe start to rust a little better, but I've seen lots and lots of rusted out beemers too.
The rust resistancy depends of the owner.

And cause I'm a Hondafan, Honda > Bmw.

I live HERE that place just north of UK. i think im pretty much in one of the worst country for rust. And you say cleaning the car, will protect it. Well it will, but keep in mind most people wont wash under the car. so being galvanized "bmw" will out last a non galvanized car.

We are comparing E30 to mid-late 90's honda.
E30 will rust if you look at it wrong. Same as honda.

Id rather deal with a honda breaking down than any bimmer, bimmers are like super hot whores, sexy but still whores, while hondas are average girls, and most bmws are overated. Cheap ,reliable goes to the big H

I guess E39 owners have more common scence than others.
