Backing in is the best way to park for the following reasons:

-better visibility of cross traffic when pulling out
      -better maneuverability when backing in
-parking next to douches at the mall even when their passenger side is over the line

Also, backing in doesn't take any more time unless you suck. And I'm not counting a second or two as "more time".

I don't understand why it's such an issue in america about backing into spaces? Is it because you don't run front plates so your rear plates are showing to passing cops?

In the uk you have to be able to reverse into space to pass your test and it's more common than driving striaght in.

if it takes you significantly longer to back in, perhaps you should consider taking the bus

im low key so i pull in and out like a regular person with the least attention. thats how you dont get your car keyed or kicked mr dub.
I've been backing into parking spaces since I learned how to drive lol I just find it easier to get my car centered in a spot and easier to leave the spot, so if I have the option to, I'll always back in

Taking up 2 spots is a no-no though, definitely just asking to get keyed by doing that

this, but I'm a lazy ass and my car has a nice ass, so.. I drive straight in. Also she's a PAIN IN THE BACKSIDE to manoeuver.

As for the 'our cars are cool so we get away with more stuff' thing, I find people let me out at junctions more often, and also i get many kids pointing and waving, even if i am blasting SOAD.

It is if you're a girl in a 41 year old car. I think they expect flowery record players.
