Obviously the line is different for different people.
For me it's an issue of quality and craftsmanship.
CCW has put together a quality 3 piece wheel that is light, affordable, and looks great. As far as I've seen the quality is top notch. The BBS wheels are also a motorsport application and not available on the public market.
I have a problem when companies copy a product and cut corners when it comes to build quality, craftsmanship, and finish.
Just my personal opinions though...we're all entitled to them.

This doesn't need to turn into another rep v real thread. It should be closed and just used as a public announcement.

None of those have 'subtle' changes. Almost everyone who has an eye for wheels can spot those fairly major differences.Originally posted by kartikeya View PostPreposterous position. If that's your take, then Rotas, Miros, Konigs, Axis OG etc. aren't replicas either.
Plus, which one of those companies has taken an inspiration and made their own forged concave, 3 piece splits out of? Or KEEP designing their own forged/3piece/race lines? That's the difference. The niche markets are completely different if you compare Rotiform to another 'rep' wheel company.

^^Don't let Kielan see this.........He will flip shit. Whereas I somewhat agree. Hipocracy rempant in this case.Originally posted by kartikeya View PostApparently. Which is why Rotiform's Lamborghini reps are fine and dandy, even for the die-hard anti-replica folks, I guess.
this thread just got awesome! Thanks Andrew

True, true.
It looks like it has BBS stamped on the center, though.
