Damn, 60k+ no post secondary? I don't want to sound like a snob (I'm not), but everytime I hear something like this, I wonder why I went to school in the first place. My old man is a truck driver... and he made me go to school. I feel like that is why I'm here. I'll never forget:

"You're either going to school, or you're going to the military. Take your pick. You aren't going to end up like me if I have anything to do with it." -My old man, the truck driver.

I'm in the wrong game, though... no matter what.

Yeah, it's a brokering position, and the average 1st year is around 55-65k a year. $35k/yr+comish.

I really would rather have went to school, and actually will if the opportunity arises. This economy is so unstable, and the job market is so depleted these days that I'm absolutely blown away at this opportunity, I just couldn't justify going to school, it would be unwise, with the cost vs the earnings, especially with the drop in potential for a high paying job in the last few years.

im curious, if you dont mind explaining, how you can get a job as a broker without a degree?

Brokering freight for a logistics company. You need a somewhat strong sales background, and the company I applied for had a rigorous interview process. Hell I know people who were mortgage brokers without any formal post secondary education as well.

I guess it's really a combination of luck, background, experience, etc.

Hell, my mind was telling me to study all day today. Got lunch, sat down and watched there's something about mary, and then went and bought Majora's Mask. Found out I need an expansion Pack, ordered that. And found myself here.
