As far as I know they're OEM, but I bought the kit years ago and I can't remember for sure. The box doesn't specify.

I should also mention that I have a box full of seals for the entire car that I never got around to installing. The car doesn't leak except under very heavy sustained rain on the drivers window. The seal kit is $200+ and includes literally every rubber seal on the car.

We went at the coils multiple times, but I'm pretty sure the final tally was 3 coils in the front and 2 in the back. The ride is unbelievably nice, extremely smooth but it has almost no body roll when getting on it around turns. Even my wife doesn't mind the ride and she has ***** riding in all of the other cars I've had. Those including an e30 on ground control coils, a MINI Cooper on Vmaxx coils and a Mk 4 Jetta on an air ride.

The shocks are the stock height but stiffer than stock, I searched high and low for shorter ones that would work but was told the SL's had the shortest stock shocks available

This car in typical California weather would be amazing.

Unfortunately he didn't keep records, but I know the shop that did all the work, I'll see what they would charge me to re-print all the receipts.

The suspension on these is very simple, it's independent at each corner. Since they use linear spring rated springs, I opted to cut the stock springs since the ride doesn't suffer like it would with progressive springs. I did install new bilstein shocks along with it, which gives it a slightly firmer than stock ride. With multiple people in the car it scrapes on the exhaust fairly often, but with one person in the car it doesn't scrape on anything but the largest bumps. Speed bumps are to be avoided. I think I mentioned it, but I'll have a new set of springs installed at no cost cut to whatever length you would want (or at the stock height) unless you're interested in exactly how it sits today.

I'm selling because my wife and I carpooled to work and back every day for the past 3 years, but she recently took a new job so that's no longer possible. This car deserves better than to be a daily driver, and it is totally unsuitable as a daily where I live. It regularly approaches 100 degrees in the summer and the humidity is constantly over 85%. That plus the gas mileage and it just doesn't work for me.

It's really going to kill me to sell this car, it's been by far my favorite of all the cars I've owned. I may get another one down the road when I have more space. To say it turns heads is a huge understatement. I get compliments literally every time I drive it from all manner of people.

- How many coils did you cut front and rear and hows the ride really ?
- Are the shocks standard or shorter than OEM ?

Let me put some more thought into this, it would be a great car for San Diego weather.
