PROBLEM Bagged B5

I had the same setup in my b5, and from what I remember the rear went plenty high. Something is definitely wrong with your setup if its taking that much to get it up. Where did you order it from?

I would call bagriders and talk to them about it, the one guy there had a bagged b5 a while back and should be able to tell you more.

It sounds like you do in fact need to run more pressure since you have an Avant. The heavier vehicle is going to require more psi than a regular sedan. 125psi is far from burst pressure, so that will not be an issue at all.

But I was contacted this morning by Kyle from airlift who talked me through the issues I was having and was able to solve both of them. It was a rather simple fix but with this being my first time bagging a car I did not know.

The issue was with the way I aired up the car, What I needed to do was air the rear up past the driving pressure about 120-130 and then are them out a bit down to desired ride height, this allowed the bag to fully unroll and maintain height when I let a little air out.

i have same problem on my e60 but rise to max then have to come down defeats the object IMO

They told you to ride around at 120psi? Do they want you to blow a bag? It sounds like you are getting a bind somewhere. Jack the car up, unhook your airline form the strut/bag and cycle the rear suspension. See if you can get lift that way. Listen/feel for anything abnormal.

What psi are you suggesting to drive around at? Without blowing a bag.

It looks like the bag isn't filling completely.

I'm confused as to what the issue was - I just installed Airlift on my B5 and having a similar issue. Not the issue of getting the rear too high, just having the issue trying to avoid driving at too high of a psi in the rear.

There is something wrong. I have the airlift performance bags front and rear and if I remember correctly (been a while since I drove it) at around 100psi I am about stock height. I will find a pic.

Also, I did not have to touch the up and down adjustment with the threading

I believe my ride height is 70 front 90 rear and is plenty high for driving
