thats why I always keep spare fuses in the glove boxOriginally posted by TheNeek View PostI did one fuse.... should redo it to have two. Can't believe I didn't think of the fuse burning out and leaving me stranded

to the op what did you have questions concerning welding and fittings?

Used to have the same problem just get this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ger-SGP38.html all the bag truckers run them here. I do to and have no problem. just run it off you amp power wire and you just use one large fuse those little relays are trash ask any mimi trucker whos been doing it for years they also use starter relays too.Originally posted by matt@hardparkergarage.com View Postthats why I always keep spare fuses in the glove box

I have a 0 gauge power wire with a Y connection one to the amp and one to the stinger with of course an 80 amp fuse before the stinger.Last edited by MeanTC; 09-27-2012, 05:00 PM.

Wow, you must have been a boyscout or something. How about if the wiring takes a dump and you burn through your spare fuse. Running dual fuses cuts one full circuit out of the failure modes and effects analysis, so it's much more robust.Originally posted by matt@hardparkergarage.com View Postthats why I always keep spare fuses in the glove box

This is exactly what I recommend as well. These are high current relays and will run 2 comp systems no problem. The highest current draw you will have is when the compressors cycle on.Originally posted by MeanTC View PostUsed to have the same problem just get this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ger-SGP38.html all the bag truckers run them here. If your running 1 power wire for an amp and dual compressors you want 80A at lowest but 100A preferred. Then use a distribution block to run multiple power sources off that one.
From the High amp relay (like Stinger relay) you can run both compressor wires to the switch side (87) of the relay.

That is my setup 100A on main line then to the Y from there one to amp and then the other one to an 80A then to stinger then to pumps. no probs at all.Originally posted by arcelio13 View PostThis is exactly what I recommend as well.
