No way you'll fit a -15 offset without a substantial amount of fender work. 0 offset will work an an 8" wheel with some minor pulling/rolling. Go to clubroadster like said above. There is a whole thread dedicated to wheel fitment there.

Most Miata's you see are 15x8 et 0, its like it was made for the car, all you need to do is roll the fenders, and then maybe just a bit of pull, depending on what tires you run. 15x9 et -15 though, that is going to require a lot of fender work.

It will work if you plan on running flairs.

Just to give u an example. I got these nice all chrome bassett wheels 15x8 -12 offset.
I rolled my fenders and pulled out a little but they still were sticking out like a mexi-flush.
IM trying to pull the flush-poke look but it won't happen unless I run like -4/-5 camber and that's too much. Tire wear will be between 6-7k miles. Not worth it.
So those wheels are up for sale and I ordered a set of xxr 002 with 0 offset.
Here are some pix to give u an idea

              15x9+0 w/ 195/45/15's on rolled fenders. No pull what-so-ever

.... a -15 is possible if you get rear camber arms, but honestly miatas work best with non staggered setups. Get the same size all around and you should be happy.

max camber in the rear, and neutral camber in the front. All using the stock adjusters.

ClubRoadster.com would have been a more suited website to ask this question.

Anywho, can't go wrong with an 8" +0 or a 9" +13. Those seem to pretty common setups that work well and look great. I myself recently picked up some new wheels which measure 16"x8" +0 and I wrapped them in 205/40/16 Falken Ziex ZE-512's.

my car has 13x10 -20ish wheels on the rear. GOOD roll and lots of camber+slammed with stretched tires and i got them to fit with slight pull/no pull at all

15x9 -15 should work, it will be aggressive tho. and work will be needed. but not MAJOR work to the fenders.
