  • Re-drill questions

Wheel newbie here. Is it possible to drill and fill open face wheels and not have it ruin the look?

    Example 1:

BBS LM in 5x114.3 to 5x120.65.

    Example 2:

AC Schnitzer Type 1 three piece re drilled from 5x120 to 5x120.65. The face of this wheel doesn't look like it'd do a re-drill, but 120 to 120.65 is very small.

I understand that in example 2, wobble lugs might work. However, I'd still need spacers, and I've read wobbles + spacers is a bad idea. Also, I've seen people run 5x120s on 5x120.65 and vice versa. My preference is to do it right, though.

    Thanks!

any reputable wheel shop should be able to do that by drilling out the holes and inserting a sleeve that will not be noticeable after lug nuts are on the wheels

Redrilling 120mm PCD to 120.65mm PCD is pointless. as long as the hub is the correct size or a hub ring is used, you will experience no vibration.
114.3 to 120.65 will be noticeable up close(to those who know about redrilling), but I would not say that it would ruin the way the wheel looks.

Again, no need for wobble bolts for that.
