The internet does not have everything you need, about 10 years ago it wasn't uncommon for people to jack up their cars and use measuring devices.
I know it will work, just want to see what it'll look like on the car.
I'll buy them up and post pics to help other M3 people in my situation

Then you can post results for the next time some guy wants the information directly given to him with minimal effort.
I haven't found photos of anyone running the 235 setup on a 9.5, but running staggered diameter can mess with the ABS in these older cars. I have checked all of S14, google, bimmerforums, StanceWorks. I figured I'd just ask and see if there was anything I'm missing before trying it out.

I'm running 215/40 and 245/35 toyo proxies T1r's all around on my e28.
The only 245/35 in production for the states is the R1R but the front doesn't match. It's a 45 aspect ratio.Last edited by f50nut; 06-20-2013, 09:12 AM.

I was actually trying to help. Look, this is the difference between a 245 35 17 and a 235 40 17.
~8mm ride height difference, good luck noticing that, with slightly more stretch which would be hard to see with it being less than ~1mm.
So when you're looking at the first link you posted. That is it.
Alloy Wheel & tyre fitment calculator - it calculates inset, poke, speedo error, tyre stretch and loads more.
and coz you're still probably struggling, here is the exact set up
17x9.5 et13 235 40 17

I really wish you weren't so rude, because this stupid tire debate doesn't deserve so much attention. Thanks for the laugh though.
Since this has turned into a pissing match, that M3 is running 245/35 last time I checked. Third pic.
Hopefully the owner can chime in and tell us if he's switched to the 235. Anyways, let's lock this up. Ordering the 235/40 and going to give it a shot. You know, for the greater good of the interwebz.

Following up
It worked. Bigger than I wanted but I like the look.
