  • 17x9,5" and 17x11,5" wheel size..

Im getting tires for my new SSR SP1 wheels, but im really unsure about the sizes.

I want 35 sidewall, thats the only thing i know.
My local tireshop says i should run 315/35-17 in rear.

I want a little stretch, not much. On my daily driver it is 8.5" wheel in front with 225/35, this looks really good i think, this is Nankang NS-20 tho.

The car is a S13 with overfenders.

265/35 will stretch nicely on 11,5... just putted 245/35 on my 11,5 wheels and it's hell of a stretch, that's why i'm thinking 265/35 will look really nice

for 9,5 wheel you have a lot more options, probably 215/35 or 225/35

you can try with -> tyrestretch.com

245 and 265 is a bit to little for me, i want to have a car that performs and looks good. So i want a little bit of rubber, but not balloon tires. Just a little stretch.

Tyrestretch is down at the moment

I hope you realize that a the 35 sidewall is just representing the percentage of a section width of the tire, and not a constant. The 265/35 will be significantly taller overall and sidewall wise than your 225/35, and the 315/35 will be massively taller. For example a 225/35 and 255/30 have the same rolling diameter, not a 225/35 and 255/35. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks, i didnt know that.. Thats the reason why the 315/35-17 looks so meaty.

It aint easy finding pictures like this without Tyrestretch.com.

This may or may not help you, but with Tyrestretch being down(which it has been a lot lately) this photo might help a little.

This was my GTR on 19x10.5's with 265/30 Federals(which run a little wide), very small amount of stretch.....I know you've got 11.5's and you're wanting something meatier, but just as an example of a 265 on a 10.5 and an example of a 265 with a 30 profile seeing profiles have been discussed. So a 265/35 would be a little taller in the sidewall obviously.

Maybe not the best photo to see, but at least it's something.

Tyrestretch.com is up and running again now, but no pictures of xxx/35 - 17"..
This is the closest i get to see 275/35 on a 11,5j wheel..
But its a 20" wheel and 12j width.
