Hi All,
I know there've been threads like this before, namely that Jerk guy's one. But it never quite hit the nail on the head for my situation so i thought i'd ask fresh.
I am looking to buy custom wheels due to the strong AUD$. I can choose size, offset and brake clearance. My car info:
- Late model
- Arches will be rolled but don't want to flare
- Will have coilovers with camber plates (perhaps BCs)
- I have a rear camber weld in kit, welded for ~1/4 of its range in positive & ~3/4 of its range in negative adjustment.
Now i live in Australia & the cops are harsh, and my car is DD. So i want very flush, but no poke really. If any, just a touch like 1-2mm.
I am looking at 16x8.5 +10 and 16x9.5 +10. Tyres i am unsure, perhaps 215/40 all round?
I was leaning toward +5 in front, but don't want imbalance to the front like so many E30s have.
Can someone please comment if this will be a good compromise?
I figure i could still run 5mm spacers if i wanted to push it out a little more, but i would rather do that if i feel like it than be stuck with wheels that are too aggressive and feel like i was in the police spotlight every time i drive.
I know E30s are played out and offset question even moreso, so any input from you guys would really be appreciated.
thanks,
Ant
