How to achive Bronze/Copper lips. Help

Does anyone know if it would be possible to copper plate lips, let them oxidize partially, and then clear/powder over it to preserve them at a certain level of oxidation? Or would the oxidation that was already there screw up whatever you put over it?

^Good question. My initial response was, "I don't see why not" but I see your point now. Its possible that the layer of oxidation could cause problems allowing the clear coat to bond with the wheel surface.

Nope! Those Work lips are $900 and I'm not willing to dish out the cash. Still looking for a shop to anodize them. :/
