  • Are cheap auto-part's spacers any good?

I only need 5mm or 8mm. I run studs and the wheels use hubcentric rings.

I can't seem to find any feedback on using these cheap spacers.

If the spacer is not hub-centric or stud-centric it will never work properly, and will forever be imbalanced.

I got e-bay special 8mm once, not worth the $10.

I disagree, I've had no issues with slip-ons. Your wheels will at the very least be lug-centric, and properly torqued there should be very little opportunity for imbalance.

That said, hubcentric spacers are still better, and can be had for relatively cheap.

Stay very very far away from ones that look like this:

I've had no problems whatsoever running those around town, on the highway, and at autocross. *shrug*

Wheels balanced and securely fastened. No worse than running aftermarket wheels without hub rings.

I have a small stack of the ghetto spacers that I use for mocking up wheels to figure out what size I should go with for proper spacers.

I run 3mm spacers up front that look like the ones above. I do alot of highway driving and spirited driving, I have not had any issues

Well the ones I thought I was going to buy do not fit my 5x112. I'll just order the eBay hubcentric ones. Lol

there nothing wrong with running non hub centric, universal spacers work fine. if youre running lug bolts though i would not suggest running anything bigger than a 8mm spacer. you want at least a little lip for the wheel to go on.
