  • toyo proxies 4 vs Falken 452's

which ones are better? i heard there many issues with bubbling (which i also had with my 452's) just wanted to know if the toyo proxies 4 were good for stretching and poking? and will it show the same amount of poke as other tires?

Proxies 4s are all seasons and 452s are summer tires so it's apples and oranges. The Toyos stretch pretty well

          I've never used 4s, only T1Rs

FKs, are shit. (F'n Krap) if you do any kind of actual stretch, then you need to do this to remove them.

          FKs
Good for light cars (under 3000lbs) good for mild stretches
Bad for heavy cars, camber, stretching and overall durability.

Go with T1Rs, becuase Proxies 4s, aren't a comparable tire to an FK.

That failure doesnt look like it was caused by stretch.

I have run very stretched FKs for nearly 6 years and have NEVER had an issue. They are an awesome tire in my opinion.

            Currently have 215/35 on a 9.5 and 225/35 on a 10

I think what he was trying to say is that if you stretch them, you have to cut them off, as that is what the picture looks like.

If he is saying that, then he is full of crap.
The 215/35s on my fronts have been on (2) sets of 9.5s and 1 set of 9s

And we didnt have to cut them off.............

I don't get what he is saying either, but those tires definitely look cut off.

+1 I love falkens. Theyre known to stretch well so I dont know what that guys talking about.

FK452s will stretch a lot more than proxies

I've just seen pics of the toyos 4 stretched and they look better stretched then the 452s, toyo 4 has more poke look.

What I am saying, is that I unmount my own tires and it's a bitch to do. If someone brought me 225/35 FKs on a 10 (like mine were) I'd charge them twice or tell them to go somewhere else.

I cut them off because they don't have any stretch like every other tire I have mounted and unmounted.

I also had about a 7" bubble on the inside of the sidewall after about 10k

I will never stretch Falkens again... I actually won't buy Falkens again in general.

I have 452's, 215/40's on an 18x10, i just took them off friday to flip them... no cutting, they have around 10K miles on them. Also running just south of 3deg of camber. I have had zero issues with 452's they stretch good, the have handled any abuse i put them through.

It has a lot of stretch, the car is over 3000lbs and im running almost 3deg of camber, so i dont know where you pulled that from as i fail your whole checklist.

You're definitely in the minority when it comes to your opinion on stretched Falkens bc a good percentage of cars with stretched tires are running them without problems and people like the stretch they provide.

I still think that those cut tires are strange. I understand what you're saying about them being hard to dismount but I've had my 225/40/18 Falken 512s mounted and dismounted on my 18x10s multiple times with zero issues and dismounting was as easy as mounting them
