Could be. Those are pin drive wheels as well. So there have to be a few holes drilled to make them turn. It could be that they drilled all the holes to fit two specific pin circles. That way you can just slap the wheel on when you're in the pits and not have to find the only keyed holes in the wheel.

these arent road car wheels but they are custom. i designed and built them for a formula-sae car i worked on at university. they're 13x7 all round with about 2" dish on the front and 5" dish on the rear. the outers are spun aluminum and the centres are water jet cut billet 6061 T6 alloy and the whole lot is mirror polished. there are also high strength steel inserts (not pictured) with splines on them so that a single retaining nut can be used. these rims are very light, and quite pimping, imo... hahaha.

heres some other fsae wheels, for good measure..
RMIT university (australia) carbon and alloy wheels, 10"x6" i think (from their 2007 car)

more carbon wheels, these ones were on a german fsae car. 13"x7" i think.

lastly, heres some sick rims i seen at a show. they're off a racing Porsche 911 with centrelock hubs.
