I dunno about that, not from what I read on bimmerforums.... they say that there are two types of 7 series owners... ones that are living with their cars problems and ones that are in fear of a whole set of problems coming right around the corner.

Hehe, that's pretty accurate. E38s are easy to buy into, it's the maintenance where the money starts to drain. Not so bad if you are a DIY person, e38.org helps out quite a bit.

Man brings back memories... I was in university and my prof bought a nice imola red 7 and I used to tell myself one day I will be pimp'n that lol. However the car faded away from memory, but still love it. Thanks for posting!!!
