this is the best pic i got of my headliner but i guess itll do.
right now its stock. im just tryna gather opinions on what fabric i should use.

Is that the largest rear view mirror ever or am I looking at the photo wrong?

I was looking around on how to remove the headliner for an e28 and on mye28.com I saw a thread that said you have to take out the back glass to remove it because the headliner is tucked in to the back glass from the factory.

I think most people (including me) use 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.
