As for valve stems in the barrels, yes I'm aware of that option, but the holes where the valve stems once were in the original wheel faces aren't even filled with anything. I guess sealant in the hole would be sufficient too?

that original hole in the wheel face doesn't have any link with inside of the tyre anymore hence no leak through there. it's just a matter of aesthetics, but obviously the rims aren't ready yet

as for welded split rims. I'm just not a fan. why to weld it, when you can bolt them up and easily rebuild when necessary (either by swapping lips, barrels or custom centers). I once bought a set of such rims second hand and couldn't do anything to rebuilt them for proper fitment in my car (the seller didn't mention they were welded and judging by pictures provided I assumed they were 2 piece with removable centers...my bad).
