Okay guys... Heres a bunch of noob questions to stancing a car correctly...
So basically my Accord had Tien SS coils on it, on the lowest possible setting. It was pretty low... got rid of all gap but didn't really tuck... which is what I really wanted.
The tire sizes I'm running are big for the wheels...
245/35 on a 9" rim up front
285/30 on a 10.5" rim out back.
So I know thats problem number 1.
I decided to go with Ksport Coilovers because that allowed me to go lower... get that tuck that I want.
The rear belive it or not fits perfectly --- It has been rolled but I get zero rub and it tucks just how I want.
The front has been rolled, but theres not much there to roll... I mean not nearly as much as the rear. The fender liner has been trimmed and the car doesn't rub at all... when it is going straight.
TURNING is a completely different story. I mean just the slightest turn will rubb.. and It actually screwed up my right front fender a bit. So I temporarily raised the car a bit --- slightly lower than where the Teins were but not giving me that tucked look that I want anymore.
So I see you guys posting pics so tucked that some of ur wheels are in the fenders... How do you do it?
Camber settings right now are probably -1 or even closer to 0 than that.
A few things I'm considering doing...
225/35-20 tires.... Hoping a bit of stretch will provide some more clearance?
I want to get the alignment done and induce some more camber, but I'm not sure how much they'll be able to do beacuse the coilovers literally tuck the suspension so high up into the wheel well, my ball joint type camber kit may not give the alignment guy room to adjust em'--- dont know what to do on that front yet...
The fenders were rolled like I said, I guess perhaps they can be pulled out some more... but I'm not sure that will help as its not only rubbing up at the top of the fender... I'm going to go back to my fender rolling guy either way beacuse he needs to help me straighten out the one fender that was kinda messed up by the rubbing wheel.
I know that there is a price to pay to be that slammed, but the car still has to be driveable... I could barely make a right turn, slowly, without it rubbing.
So--
Step 1: skinnier tires.
Step 2: Try to do a little more negative camber.
Step 3: Try to pull the fender out a bit more....
Anyone have any other tips or suggestions?
This is my first time trying to slam a car this low...
Thanks for reading such a long post... and providing some help.
