    This is going to give you a more accurate to in life sounding clip. Sticking the thing on the ground 2 feet away from your muffler is just going to exceed the dynamic range of the mic on your camera and clip it and then you'll only hear overpowering bass which isn't actually your exhaust, or it'll just have static.

                          so i have 3 inch piping to a stock muffler lol

                                or big trucks lol. atleast they do that in my city. Lots of ex military hangars/buildings over here
