I would'nt recommend Wallingford. It's a beautiful neighborhood but the houses are crammed in together and it would be near impossible to find a decent garage, they're usually built into the sides of hills. I don't really know much about Westlake so I can't help you there. I would try Fremont. I enjoy the nightlife there and the people seem super chill. Hit me up when you get up to Seattle and I'll come over and show you this killer russian dumpling joint in Fremont.

Ima keep my eyes out for your car - pretty hard to miss

PS - People regularly rent out parking spots for 150+ in the city (I live in the city and am planning to rent out the spot when I no longer live here) :x Fremont/wallingford should be much more affordable.

Awesome! I would also recommend looking into places in Ballard or Greenlake/Phinney Ridge area. More wide-spread housing than other places in Seattle. Ballard has awesome nightlife and is much less "sterile" than Fremont or Wallingford. Greenlake/Phinney Ridge is more of a residential/family oriented area. Eastlake is cool but unless you wanna be constantly running into UW frat boys then I would stay away.

        1. Ballard
        2. Greenlake
        3. Fremont

I moved from the bay to seattle and I can say that you have picked a good time of year to make the move. Once you experience the summer the winter isnt as bad. That is if we have a proper summer this year.

Another thing you may want to consider is checking out the surrounding areas to downtown Seattle. Generally speaking, rent is cheaper, food/drinking/cost of living is cheaper, there is more parking and the truth of the matter is you're more likely to end up working somewhere that isn't is downtown Seattle.

Speaking of working, when you're not doing the music thing how do you pay the bills? IT stuff, restaurants, mechanic, etc.? I might be able to help you get your foot in the door with a few places depending on what you do.

I'd consider at least checking out Bellevue, Kirkland and Renton (us Seattle people can help you choose a neighborhood that isn't ghetto).

Yes, would never want to move in ~Jan.. But then again, I grew up in Milwaukee, WI so a lil rain and snow never scared me

Ya, I'm looking all over. As far as work, I've done bunch of different things, most recently managing a european car shop which was sold to a new owner. Before that, was stuck in the corporate world as a business dev manager at Safeway headquarters. I can send you my resume? Any kind of help in getting to know the area better/employment opportunities I'd appreciate very much! Thanks!!
