  • Deleting lights and adding chrome

Swapped to the rest of world spec chrome bumper strips to completely delete the dumb extra North American bumper lights.

If you are wondering, no, I'm not going to make them body color.

              Thanks guys.

Lukey, I lol'd at your title. My Australian in-laws were just here and your title reminded me of a new Aussie slang term they were using - "CUB" or Cashed-Up Bogan - could become a new slant on VIP theme.

pfff..... fake splits? expect better from you man.. just teasing, the came out amazing Getting rid of the N/A markers with eurostrips was the first mod I did to my car.

Crazy thing is that N/A markers are all the rage in Europe right now.

After 26 months and about 42k miles the odometer is now sitting at 93k or so and I have done nothing but change the oil and modify the car. I think that makes it the least problematic car I've owned in my 21 years of driving and car ownership of 10+ cars. It's almost making me feel like most modern cars are ok and I can daily a Maserati GT for my next car. I've heard that you need to stay away from 2002 and 2003, but mine is 2004 and solid.

Why don't people mod them? First, it's a Jaguar and parts are hard to find because not everyone modifies them, compared to a 3-series or a Jetta or something. Also, you can't really add horsepower without compromising the integrity of the AWD system, so you are limited to under 250 bhp or so before you start grenading the trans. I think these factors, reputation (mostly fear, not truth) about reliability, Jaguar's brand image and people calling my car a Taurus keep others from modding them. I would do it all over again and probably start with a black 2005 Sport model with factory body kit. And they are cheap, usually 8-15k for models 2004-2007. The 02/03 are cheaper, but I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah that's why I was wondering man!
I'm glad yours has proven you otherwise.
I've been finding some low mileage ones locally for under 4k but they are 2002 or 2003 LOL.
I was confused when I saw a couple up for $3,100.
                              Must have some gnarly issues.
