Damn dude, sorry to hear about your horrible trip back. Sounds like a nightmare. My car isn't stupid low..but it's enough to give me problems if there are more than a couple inches on the ground. Luckily the hotels are close to the mountains so I won't be doing too much driving once I'm there..except for some exploring

8 hours to get 60 miles ha fuck that. Round trip is about 1500 miles. Should be interesting.

I'll be sure to post some pictures of the trip. Surprised more people with audi's or sti's don't have input from being slammed on falken 512's.

Somehow missed the fact that you're on 512's... I had them on my R32 and drove through a snow storm last year. No traction but the Haldex kept me on the road. I wouldn't recommend 512's for winter driving to anyone. They're not really 'all season' tires.

Yeah they'll low grade all-seasons in the grand scheme but they're pretty good in wet and dry.

Camber worn 512's up front, 1,000 miles on the NS2's in the rear. The NS2's SUCKED and the 512's were just okay driving through the stuff in the picture. I drove through about 2 inches of fresh powdery snow with 512's all around back in March and there were a couple slippery moments.

So your snow tires are bald? Sounds more like you have a set of slicks at this point. I say get some new snows. Swap them on my A4 every winter, and I've never gotten stuck. Are falken's all seasons? Shouldn't be a problem if they are

I say bald because I deemed them useless. They have no tread on the inside and minimal on the outside. Yeah they're all seasons but haven't driven yet with them in snow.

Keep the hammer down youll be good..

Lived in VT for 4 years, slammed MK4 Jetta on all seasons, sucked at some times, but made it through everything. Just be cautious and don't do anything stupid hahaha.

Yeah I was told about it when I was at school and my reply was "fuck it, I'll just drive around it," little did I know the whole road was gone lol. It's fixed now but took 2-3 months to fix.

Yeah I would at the very least raise the car a half an inch or something. I've gotten my self stuck in deep snow here in CT with snow tires! If there is heavy snow on the ground and it accumulates under your car you'll have traction issue out the whazoo. Like someone said before, VT is very unpredictable and I can only imagine the fun you'll have actually getting up the MTN.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

And good luck, I rode okemo a while ago and it was awesome.
