10 years ago the west coast had an advantage with European cars, 15-20 years ago the east coast European cars featured in VW Trends or European Car were the laughing stock of West Coast car builders. Now I think both coasts have achieved parity with eachother. Now it is not about who complains most about their roads - those people are worst off. I've been to almost all 50 states and I vote Louisiana as the only one with a legitimate gripe - especially New Orleans. That would hold their scene back big time.My first JDM project after decades of European cars!

i'm not sure if anyone pointed this out.. but i think it is very fair to point out that which coast is better depends on which scene you are talking about! I grew up/college in the midwest, and lived on both coasts..
the west coast has nothing on vw/audi's compared to the midwest and east.
bmw's is prob more even all around..
american muscle etc. pretty spread out but SOUTH lol
jdm: west coast.. etc.
anyone feel similarly?91 DiamondSchwartzMetallic S52 Slicktop, 91 Calypso M42, 89 Royalblau M20, 84 Euro E30, M535, Euro e24, ap1

having lived and worked on cars on both coasts( VA and CA, in denver now trying to get back to SF) i have noticed that west has a STRONG vintage jap car scene. and that the west coast whores the ever living fuck out of everything they do, including all things non car related also!
the east on the other hand can have some shit (usually eurpoean) you didnt know existed that some old-money rich guy only brings out for biannual oil changes and most def. does not advertise having. i would routinely get my mind blown at work at some of the collections brought out by some old fuck who looks like some normal guy off the street but is worth a few mil. that was really the difference west shows it off(for good reason) east knows what they got and doesnt.
but for me west is the best, but i like the classics so...

^^^ why you trying to get back to SF?
well said, vintage japanese is huge here.. big reason for that - no snow/salt!! vintage japanese cars in the midwest or east coast??? RUST BUCKETS! seriously, find a decent shape 240z out here -not that hard. midwest? impossible!!! holes rusted through..
and the west coast whoring the living f out of everything? haha, so true.. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME91 DiamondSchwartzMetallic S52 Slicktop, 91 Calypso M42, 89 Royalblau M20, 84 Euro E30, M535, Euro e24, ap1
