Although I like the idea of a vinyl wrap, there are a few aspects that really turn me away from them. Materials are expensive, roughly the same as buying quality paint. You said you got all the materials at a bargain for $600, which doesn't really seem like a bargain to me. It's a very difficult, time consuming task and might not adhere in certain areas and imperfections will show if the paint under the wrap isn't a consistent color. Lastly, vinyl wraps are said to only last around 4 years (of course I'm sure there are exceptions). I just don't see how forking out a little more money for a quality paint job that lasts way longer doesn't make more sense in the long run.
I'm not trying to bash on your decision, the car looks amazing and I can appreciate all the work you put into it to make it happen. I also realize that a huge plus to vinyl wraps is being able to preserve the original paint on the car. I just personally don't think a vinyl wrap would be worth it unless materials were under $300 total considering all the downfalls.

ok I lied about having a little bit of camber. but I plan on taking it out. still doesn't rub without the negative camber doe
the camber was for a show.

thanks manOriginally posted by KürBFèéleR View PostThe wing is the icing on the cake...probably my fav e36
yeah. by my self too. it was a mother facker. I had it thatched strapped to a table. lolOriginally posted by Ollie View PostDid you vinyl the wing too?
well the high rise is back off again, I have two trunk lids. one for the spoiler, one without. both wrapped. I was running 20mm spacers. I've pulled the rear fenders a little more and got them paper thin. I have 15mm spacers in the rear now with a tad bit of camber. also the rears are 17x10.5 nowOriginally posted by T3rd Ferguson View PostI love this car, I was hoping you wouldn't put the high rise back on because I bought one in the fall for my car, hahaha. if it's been said, forgive me but what spacers are you running on the wheels?
