I hope I can pull it off. My options for an "easy" swap are limited to the 4.2 from a C5 S6 and D2 S8. The 4.2 from the newer S4s is also an option, but they tend to be pretty pricey and the swap is more work (in terms of getting everything wired up).

I was THIS close to having an engine a couple weeks back. A local guy was parting out a 70k mile S8 that was still running and he only wanted $1500 for the full engine/wiring harness/ECU. Then he sold it out from under me to some dude who wanted the whole car.

The car is decently fast in it's current state though, so I'm probably going to focus on the paint and body work first.
