First, in order to introduce rust into a new environment, just like animals and other living beings, you'll have to transport it from old home to new home. Finding rust in its natural environment is not hard -- just find an early-to-mid-90's Honda Civic and remove the rear fenders.

Now that you have the rust, living on its host fender, take it to your car. You can bolt the Honda fender onto your VW for the best chances of rust metastasis (and, since nobody's done it before, you'll be revered in both VW and Honda circles for it), or you can just rest the fender onto the hood of your car. Rust loves the hood more than O.G. thugs love the 'hood, so it should start to transfer over in no time.

Once the transfer to its new environment is complete, drop the rusted fender off at your local church, like one would with a baby. The nuns will know what to do with it.

IMO the best way is to remove any sort of fenders linings and then take a sawsall between the inner and outter fenders and pry that baby open. Get a pressure washer, and a blended up mix of vinegar, a shit ton of salt and an 87 accord rear pass fender,and coat the insides real nicely. Make sure to get in real deap and not to miss anything. Do the same with the insides of the doors, trunk etc. and before you know it it will look like early 90s civic. Boom, mission accomplished.
