well figured i would make a thread since the car will never look the same again. This summer has been my worst with the car and legal things. This came up a lot sooner then I wanted it too. But priorities are elsewhere for the time being. I had a Canibeat shoot and both times the car didn't make it, one being a broken oil pan on the way, 2nd being flat tire and bent wheel. Luck is not with me right now

I hear ya on the legal problems, I've had too many also and decided to raise the car and put it back on stock wheels. It sucks, but ya gotta do whatcha' gotta do sometimes.

ive had legal problems with a possession charge and failing a drug test, so ive had to deal with that already. and now the car itself is just getting too much unwanted attention. I was pulled for illegal suspension, too low, no 3rd brake light, and illegal corner lights... charged me for 2 but took the plates and said get all of those things fixed. and im dead broke as is, so this money will be going to all my fees of late, and school to survive lol.

stated above, but that is soo true. he was being very stereotypical in front of my parents at my house, saying people like me race these cars and get in wrecks. not understanding i drive slower and safer then anyone on the damn road. yet get looked at a certain way.

thats weird never heard of anyone getting their plates on the spot unless they were putting people in immediate danger in which case they get towed.

its a shame man, i think you should raise it a bit for daily usage and MAYBE switch the wheels up for some blades or similar.

edit: I didnt mean that as an insult lol. When I was in highschool the same shit was happening to me all the time. I was constantly getting pulled over, searched, towed, harassed, accussed of dealing drugs and street racing, etc. etc. Ahh the good old days.

well he was going to tow the car but said he would cut me a break and follow me the 10 min home to my house. then took my plates there. and funny, i am raising to stock and trying to find blades LOL

That's bullshit, you should fight them. What is considered "too low"? And why is your suspension illegal? What does that even mean?

I can see getting pulled for the third brake light, clear corners maybe but neither of those are worthy of taking your plates. Read up on your laws and go to court.

Ive gotten my plates repossesed and my car towed because my reg was a day expired(this was after someone reported me for driving recklessly when I was going less than 20 in a 25- I wouldnt tell the story if I was lying).. I also got arrested twice because I forgot to pay a moving violation ticket. Once was at midnight they pulled me over and put me in the back of the cop car. The other time they pulled me out of class and arrested me. All they had to do was remind me I had to pay it. lol Got towed another time for no insurance when I had insurance just couldnt find the card. My mom dropped it off right before it got on the truck though.

My friend was caught with 2 oz of bagged up cronic, a scale, a wad of benjamins, grinder, bowl and who knows what else and he got to drive home.

It really doesn't make sense.
