  • ~ Elvis ~ My 74' Mercedes 240D

Well I'm a lot more used to working on Jap cars and bikes, but after seeing Mike and Matts 240D, I was wanting one. I was gonna by that one, but ended up not having the right amount of cash at the time. So after selling one of my projects/track cars to a friend who just had his car stolen, I ended up with a little cash. Saw the ad for this car on craigslist and went to check it out.

I show up at the guys house at 12am and first thing I notice is that Im talking to ELVIS....well an Elvis impersonator really, but damn he looked just like I would expect Elvis to look like today. So I start going over the car with a flashlight and pick through all the rust, features, etc....take it on a scary/odd test drive and decide I want it. Bought the car and decided to drive it 1.5 hours home. Minus a little snaffu with one of the Bosch relays everything went fine and I made it back. Went the next day and got her registered, been working on it a little bit since then and just having a great time driving it around. Had a great time this last week and weekend in Tenn. hanging out with everyone at the House of Stanceworks and at IA.

He drinks heavily, smokes profusely and has his way with the road and I wouldnt have it any other way.

Heres a few rolling shots, theyre not the best but meh.

    Smokescreen time!!

Between the constant rub smoke from my car and your diesel smoke, I'm confident we left a dark spot visible from space over Nashville.
