Correct sir. That, and should we choose to add more later, it'll already be there.Originally posted by Steve View PostWhy meth on a stock N/A engine? Going to ramp up the timing for more power or...?
Also, there wouldn't have been a point for the arms otherwise. And where's the fun in that?!

I've just completed a degree in Architecture so I think I'm qualified to say this:
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUU
(seriously, that is the nicest, most elegant thing to ever be put anywhere near an engine. Whoever designed it deserves a nobel prize.)
please tell me the bay is going to be tidied up a bit as well. not necessarily a full on strip back till only the engine is left, but just neaten up the wires and stuff. something like that deserves a decent frame.

Filters are for cat-synonyms. Most things are too large to bounce into the engine bay, in up and around, finally landing on a throttle body butterfly. Anything that's small enough to actually do that is essentially particulate and is burnt up in the combustion chamber. Two trips to Vegas and back with open filters is proof enough for us that we're doing something right. If they pointed forwards, I'd be a smidge worried, but only said smidge.Originally posted by PavelK313 View PostNo filters?Last edited by FluidMotorUnion; 06-27-2011, 07:00 PM.

Mother of God... Well, there goes my evening.

I would worry on this too. I have heard recommendations for changing oil more often (at say around 1000 miles depending on where you are driving) to attempt to keep internals cleaner.Originally posted by PavelK313 View PostYou dont worry about dust that will eventually scratch cylinder walls?

Thank you. My goal was to create something that would outdo my design for the E46 nitrous system. However, with the different personalities of each car, I'm not sure if I should compare them. As far as the rest of the engine bay goes it will be a challenge to cover up everything that makes it seem "busy" without making engine covers and I really don't want to do that. But I do love a challenge...Originally posted by Jack25 View Post(seriously, that is the nicest, most elegant thing to ever be put anywhere near an engine. And no, there are no air filters. As much as Andrew (the face behind the Fluid posts) wants to believe that we have figured out everything there is to figure out behind running an engine without filters even though it has been considered a necessity for many years by engineers with way more experience...we haven't. What we do know is we have ran cars for many miles with no apparent damage to the engine as long as we change the oil on a more frequent basis.
In our experience it just makes for a higher maintenance vehicle...and with cars, just like with women, the right type of high maintenance means...well...you know...something about sound, flow, and more frequent lubrication of vital parts.[/SIGPIC]
