  • Parts car to head turner in two weeks time.

I bought this car a few weeks ago mainly because it came with enough extra parts to justify it.

It did not run, was missing many pieces and had many tasteless changes.

After finding the problem to be nothing more than a bad ecu and a few dead coil packs I decided to put the car on the road and have some fun with it rather than part it out.

    Here's what I started with :

and just two weeks later, took it to the BlownEuros gtg like this:

I bought another totaled parts car to get all of the pieces I needed to assemble this one. A few sleepless nights with friends getting the wheels restored, the paint shining, and the suspension dialed in.

Wheels are 16x9.5 two piece ARE's with 205/55/16 stretched. I forgot to measure for offsets before I put it all together. I used a 5/16" spacer so that the wheel didn't rub the coilover body and installed an extended stud kit to keep things safe. Coils are racelands, lip is from an mkIII jetta

The car had a minor radiator explosion in the ticket lines getting into BlownEuros...nothing my little brother making the two hour drive with a spare rad couldn't fix.

The silver M3 is mine as well, the other cars belong to friends.

Love it, **** it. Regardless I'm impressed with the end result.

Love the 398's. Maybe I will have to pick up a BMW to put my set on something, lol.

How low do you have the coils turned down?.. cause I am gettin racelands in about a months time ( fingers crossed ). I want that low haha

Not bad at all for a 2 week build, 16s look kinda awkward, but oh well. I wish I could have made it out to BlownEuros this year.

                    Thanks guys!

The rears are as low as they can go, take the adjusters out and you'll get another half inch.

Front is only about halfway down. The wheels are so wide that i had to strategically set it up so that the coil perch sits at the exact right spot not to rub the wheel as I didn't want any larger of a spacer. Other wheels will allow you to get even lower in the front, although this is completely impractical already.

Looks so good. Throw some amber tails on and it'd be hot.

The first pic doesn't show exactly how bad this car was when it was brought home.

This is the third e36 "speed build" i've done since the fall. It's quite fun. And yes I agree that first photo doesn't show quite how bad it was, but its one of the only before pics I had.
