Obviously not in its best state, but looking forward to seeing where it ends up man!

          Makes me remember this:
Thanks! I like how it turned out, too. After I get a replacement hood, this one is getting mounted on my wall.

I like this car overall. You say it's in a transitional phase and I respect that you continue to have fun with it
No, but since it is a custom exhaust, there are still some issues with getting the hangers to sit higher.

Thanks. It's filthy, the fitment sucks, and it needs some work, but I still love it.

Well, it got kicked off by a rainstorm that led to the old motor getting hydrolocked, then a snowstorm that almost sent me into a pole at 40mph thanks to snap-oversteer and bald tires. That incident cracked the tow hook cover and made the fog delete vanish.

Nope, wheels are staying. I have two more 9s waiting for tires, so I'll have the only square set of 17x9 Style 32s. After that, I'll be sending two off to be widened to 17x10.

Thanks guys, much more positive feedback than expected.

I like the look! I Can't disagree with people saying the car would look better the way it is in your sig. But I think the hood defenitely adds more personality to the car.

Totally didn't expect this. I have always loved your car, maybe even more now in its "rough" state.
Excited to see the new fitment/10 inch Style 32s.

Additionally, since I live in California and turbo isn't really an option, I need to make the most out of the power I have available to me and still have a reliable car.
I wasn't suggesting to not upgrade your gearset, but rather to go much larger. I put the same setup you are considering & when I drove it down the road, I felt NO difference. I thought maybe I should run it on the expressway, nope, no difference!

I did however pickup on the LSD that I put in there. definiately could feel that thing even in a straight line at low rpm's. around corners, I can't say that I've necessarily taken them much harder, but my confidence & grip level seem to be through the roof.

if I were to do it again, I would choose something between a 4.10 & a 4.30. the highest you can run in these cars is the 4.88, but that's crazy unless you're gonna max out platinum credit cards on octane alone.

I originally felt: I want to maximize the power of this drivetrain & since I already have intake, tune, advanced timing, full exhaust, & will replace my flywheel with a lightweight unit upon needing a clutch . . . so a gearset will be my lowend idea of supercharging the car with no maintance issues to consider from this mod once all bolted in.

blah, blah, I know I've given you a novel here, but I'm just trying to save someone else from puttin' out a chunk of cash that I feel was wasteful. I suggest you go at least a 3.91 as to not kill expressway RPM levels, but at the same time, I had wanted to shift through gears more like that of an old mustang I had & to corner at constantly high RPM to maximize my recent suspension upgrades. in the end, the 3.73 is not bad, but not all that I had hoped it could be.

of course do what you please, but don't be expecting too high of a difference in power or shifting. I just cared to help is all.

                          Uh, what Moose said.

A B34 car with a chip and 3.46 ran a 14.5 quarter mile. Stock is 15.6 or so.
My car with a B35 and a 3.73 will be noticeably quicker than that. A 4.10 would be annoying as shit.

Thanks for the positive comments guys!
The car will have all four 9s on in two days!
